Rochester, Michigan is a once again
NWF Mayors Monarch Pledge
Champion City, 2024!

This is the third year in a row that Rochester has been designated for this honor!

For Year 2024, Rochester is one of only 4 cities in the nation that were awarded this designation by the National Wildlife Federation. 

The award is given based on an extensive report of activities undertaken by the City of Rochester (City Beautiful Commission, DPW, etc.), Rochester Pollinators (501C(3) Nonprofit under the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester) and numerous Citizens who continue to actively work to increase native habitat for the Monarch butterfly and other pollinators, spreading the word about the importance of landscaping with native plants for life cycle habitat.
