Mayors Monarch Pledge Report, 2025

Once Again, Our Home City of Rochester, Michigan is Identified by the NWF as a Mayors Monarch Pledge Champion City, 2025!

This is the fourth consecutive year Rochester has been designated for this honor!

For Year 2025, Rochester is one of only 5 cities in the nation that were awarded this designation by the National Wildlife Federation. You can read the NWF Blog post about all 5: Why Monarchs Need Mayors 

The award is given based on an extensive report of activities undertaken by the City of Rochester (City Beautiful Commission, DPW, etc.), Rochester Pollinators (501(c)(3) Nonprofit under the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester) and numerous Citizens who continue to actively work to increase native habitat for the Monarch butterfly and other pollinators, spreading the word about the importance of landscaping with native plants for life cycle habitat.
