Monarch butterfly populations are in decline, particularly our eastern U.S. Monarchs, because our changing climate is making it harder for them to migrate to the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Mexico, where they overwinter.
Dwindling native Milkweeds also reduce Monarch populations everywhere. They MUST have plentiful Milkweed to reproduce. It is the only plant that they will lay their eggs upon and the only plant Monarch caterpillars can eat. This sticker is a little reminder of an important host plant relationship between Monarchs and Milkweed. Plant native Milkweed plants in your landscape and spread the word!
